Defense Unicorns is seeking a remote Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager to spearhead market introductions and create comprehensive go-to-market strategies for emerging AI products within the defense sector. Reporting directly to the Head of Product Marketing, the selected professional will collaborate closely with executive leadership, engineering, product development, and growth teams to steer new offerings through their entire lifecycle. This execution-heavy position requires significant ownership, from establishing foundational messaging and positioning to developing technical demonstrations, white papers, solution briefs, and customer value narratives.
This role is ideal for an experienced technical marketer who thrives in ambiguous environments and can construct operational structures for undefined market segments. The position involves roughly 35% to 45% travel to engage with partners, industry stakeholders, customers, and communities. Defense Unicorns focuses on streamlining software delivery and creating secure continuous integration and delivery solutions for federal, defense, and civil agencies.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute end-to-end go-to-market strategies for new products and features
- Define target audiences, product positioning, messaging, and narratives
- Establish go-to-market foundations for offerings entering new or undefined markets
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear customer value
- Produce technical blogs, white papers, solution briefs, web content, presentations, demos, and use-case materials
- Partner with Product and Engineering to build repeatable technical demonstrations
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather qualitative and quantitative insights
- Evangelize products and communicate value propositions within the defense industry
Requirements
- Bring 7 or more years of experience in technical product marketing, product management, solutions engineering, developer relations, or related functions
- Possess significant experience owning technical go-to-market programs and launching new technical products, platforms, capabilities, or major features
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts, including model deployment, governance, and limitations
- Understand modern software development, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, Helm, containers, APIs, and platform engineering
- Demonstrate strong technical and creative writing skills along with exceptional interpersonal and public-speaking abilities
Qualifications
- Experience introducing products without an established category, customer base, or messaging foundation
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives
- Experience working with defense, national security, or federal government customers
