ServiceNow seeks a Senior Technical Writer for a full-time position located in Hyderabad. This position requires on-site attendance.
In this role, the professional will collaborate with engineering and product management teams to design, write, and maintain user-centered technical documentation for multiple software features and applications, following established content strategies.
The ideal candidate will contribute to shaping future content strategies, participate in the evolution of DITA-based information models and writing standards, and build expert knowledge of the ServiceNow product ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering and product management to plan, create, and maintain user-focused technical documentation for multiple product features or applications
- Contribute input to help shape future content strategies for the supported product or business unit
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of content development processes, DITA-based information models, and writing styles and standards
- Develop a deep understanding of the ServiceNow product ecosystem along with expert knowledge of the specific product area and user base
- Mentor other writers, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and foster collaboration across diverse cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Have at least 4 years of work experience in technical communication
- Demonstrate English language proficiency via a HackerRank assessment covering grammar, sentence structure, and procedural writing skills
- Possess an understanding of content development life cycles and processes
- Provide writing samples demonstrating the ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and technical information
- Have experience authoring in DITA or another XML-based structured authoring architecture
- Have experience independently planning, creating, and delivering documentation within a fast-paced, globally distributed software development environment
Qualifications
- Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
