Great Zimbabwe University- GZU is seeking candidates for three Staff Development Fellow positions within the Social Work Department. This opportunity is suited for professionals qualified in social work who are interested in academic development and teaching foundational subjects. Selected fellows will handle teaching and instructional duties covering various aspects of social welfare and practice.
Responsibilities
- Instruct students in Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare
- Teach Ethics and Values in Social Work
- Deliver coursework on Crime and Deviance and Social Policy
- Facilitate instruction for Introduction to Community Work
- Lead classes on Introduction to Social Group Work
- Supervise and guide Introduction to Fieldwork Practice
Requirements
- Hold a relevant first degree with a minimum of an upper second (2.1) classification
- Be registered or registrable with the Council of Social Workers Zimbabwe (CSWZ)
- Hold a current practising certificate for the 2025/2026 period
Qualifications
- Enrolment in an MSc Social Work postgraduate training program
- Expressed interest in sub-specialising in Clinical Social Work, Child Protection, Medical Social Work, or Community Development
