Robinhood is hiring a Software Developer Intern for the Web team to help build technology for the financial sector. The intern will work across various product areas including Core Experience, Crypto, Brokerage, and Activation to create client-side applications, marketing websites, and developer infrastructure. This position is based in the Toronto, Ontario office with an in-person requirement of at least three days per week.
During the program, the intern will take ownership of projects from the initial scoping phase all the way to production. Working alongside experienced engineers, the participant will build new features, develop tools for internal developers, and ship software utilized by a broad user base. The intern will also be paired with a dedicated mentor to help navigate the technical stack and financial domain.
This opportunity is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and want to gain hands-on engineering experience. Qualified candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program with an expected graduation in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028. Responsibilities
- Partner with an assigned mentor from onboarding through the shipping phase
- Design and build consumer features and reusable UI paradigms utilizing React
- Develop and test products that support brokerage operations
- Collaborate across multiple cross-functional teams to iterate on products rapidly
- Create frameworks and internal tools to empower other software developers
Requirements
- Fluency in JavaScript and/or Reactive Native with a grasp of fundamentals
- Understanding of reactive and functional programming paradigms
- Strong computer science fundamentals and awareness of best coding practices
- Effective communication skills with the ability to advance projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong design intuition, user empathy, and a passion for building developer tools
- In-person attendance in the Toronto, ON office at least three days per week

- Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program
- Expected graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028
- Familiarity with Go and Python/Django
