In this position, you will manage backend initiatives related to Mobile Measurement Partner integrations, SKAN processing, and App Conversion API functionality. Your core objectives involve building scalable ingestion architecture, resolving data delivery issues, and establishing robust diagnostic tools to improve measurement accuracy for advertisers.
This opportunity is fully remote, though optional physical workspaces are maintained in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Candidates should possess a strong background in backend software engineering, mobile measurement, and distributed systems design.
Responsibilities
- Manage backend projects covering MMP, SKAN, and App CAPI from initial design through implementation and production operation.
- Construct scalable ingestion and processing services featuring deduplication, error recovery, validation, and data lineage tracking.
- Create diagnostic and integration tools enabling advertisers and partners to troubleshoot signal delivery issues.
- Examine signal quality metrics, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with product and data science teams to prioritize enhancements.
- Coordinate with partner engineering and downstream consumers to adapt schemas without disrupting current advertisers.
- Integrate security and privacy protocols throughout the data lifecycle.
- Elevate engineering standards via code testing, design evaluations, incident reviews, and mentoring.
Requirements
- Demonstrated senior-level backend engineering experience building and running scalable production systems.
- Practical background in app ad signals or mobile measurement, including SKAN, MMP integrations, or app conversion APIs.
- Proficiency in programming, API design, distributed systems, and SQL.
- Strong independent problem-solving and data investigation capabilities.
- Effective communication skills with a history of delivering outcomes alongside cross-functional teams.
