In this position, the engineer will take charge of backend systems and architecture that process millions of builds daily. The role requires designing and operating scalable microservices, managing webhooks, establishing resilient database schemas, and building robust APIs. Successful candidates will blend product thinking with deep systems ownership, contributing to the lifecycle of Vercel's build and deployment platforms. Key duties include leading projects end-to-end, writing thoroughly tested code, participating in on-call rotations, and engaging with the open-source community.
