The Infrastructure Engineering division provides reliability, performance, and efficiency through a single technology stack, offering a dependable and automated foundation that unifies compute, storage, messaging, and deployment.
This central role hires across several impact-focused teams, including Messaging, Site Defense, and Infrastructure Security. Team members guide high-leverage projects, build performant and scalable architectures around authentication and identity, mentor technical peers, and collaborate across engineering departments.
The position is open as a remote role on a full-time schedule. The annual base salary falls within the range of USD 164,000 to 229,000, supplemented by equity in the form of restricted stock units and potential commissions depending on the assigned position. U.S.-based employees also have access to comprehensive company benefits.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Management, Product Design, Data Science, and Client Engineers to develop low-latency technical solutions
- Manage the complete software lifecycle for major product initiatives, spanning technical design documents, API contracts, coding, testing, deployment, and observability
- Design, build, and assess A/B experiments utilizing analytics tools to drive data-informed engineering decisions
- Develop and sustain scalable APIs and distributed backend services optimized for client usage and consumer UI performance
- Define engineering best practices, refine developer workflows, guide team members, and utilize modern tools
- Select, scope, and execute high-leverage projects that match company objectives
- Construct and scale architecture focused on authentication, authorization, and identity
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience building internet-scale software, with an emphasis on distributed systems infrastructure or infrastructure security
- Software development proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language including Golang, Python, C++, or Java
- Familiarity with foundational cloud infrastructure such as Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS, and GCP
- Practical experience executing features, performance optimizations, and bug fixes for distributed messaging systems
- Strong communication abilities to coordinate effectively with engineering, data science, machine learning, and product stakeholders
