As an Intermediate Software Engineer (RCL) at FairMoney, you will design, develop, test, and maintain backend services that support the platform. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services
- Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code supporting financial products
- Work with backend technologies including Golang and Ruby on Rails
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues
- Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices
- Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable APIs
- Integrate backend services with internal and external systems
- Design relational database schemas and write efficient SQL queries for PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests for backend services
- Utilize AI-powered development tools and prompt engineering to improve productivity
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams on technical solutions
Requirements
- 4 to 5 years of professional backend software engineering experience
- Strong background in building and maintaining backend applications and services
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Golang or Ruby on Rails
- Experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Practical understanding of API design and development
- Strong testing discipline including unit and integration testing
- Familiarity with Git and modern software development workflows
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Qualifications
- Experience with AI development tools and prompt engineering
- Background in fintech, banking, lending, or other financial products
- Experience in regulated financial domains including credit and payments
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and asynchronous processing at scale
- Experience working with high-volume transactional systems
