The company operates globally as a distributed organization with over one thousand team members across more than seventy countries, gathering teams in person a few times each year.
In this customer-facing role, the successful candidate will partner with prominent automotive enterprises and technology leaders such as Ford, General Motors, Mercedes, Intel, Nvidia, and Google. The position requires guiding prospects and partners in adopting open source platforms for Software Defined Vehicles and embedded Linux environments. The ideal professional blends technical expertise in operating systems and coding with business acumen to address complex technical inquiries and deliver tailored solutions.
Daily responsibilities involve gathering client requirements during presales, coordinating with internal engineering specialists, participating in embedded Linux projects including proofs of concept, and feeding market needs back to internal stakeholders. Team members must also travel up to thirty percent of the time for customer meetings, conferences, and company events.
Responsibilities
- Engage prospective clients during presales engagements to identify technical needs and explain company solutions
- Collaborate with internal specialists in fields such as cloud, Kubernetes, security, and safety to build comprehensive client solutions
- Contribute to delivering select embedded Linux projects, including live demonstrations and proofs of concept
- Communicate market requirements to key internal stakeholders and assist in refining generic solutions
- Act as both a trusted advisor and customer advocate
Requirements
- Extensive experience working with Linux, preferably Debian or Ubuntu
- Solid background in embedded Linux, including Yocto or RTOS
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
- Professional written and spoken English proficiency alongside local language skills
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilities
- Willingness to travel up to 30 percent of the time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Relevant professional experience within the automotive industry
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 or ISO 21434 standards
- Prior experience managing customer engagements
