Responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to authority on Link across regions, speeding up deals worldwide
- Help customers see how saved payment credentials and network-level verification affect conversions

- Draw architecture diagrams that show how end-to-end checkout performance can improve
- Collaborate with product sellers in payments on the most important Link deals, steering solution plans and managing key accounts
- Gain early look at new Link features and bring customer requests to the product group
- Act as the customer's advocate inside Stripe, shaping how feature requests get ranked
- Monitor where checkout design, digital wallets and passkey adoption are heading, and pass useful findings to product and sales leaders
- Take difficult technical problems to Stripe engineering and see them through
- Develop reusable assets, coach colleagues on complex deals and support executive briefings, conferences and trade shows
Requirements
- Seven or more years in sales engineering, consulting or architecture work centered on online payments
- Solid grasp of what drives checkout performance, including conversion data and abandonment causes
- Knowledge of payment authentication methods such as 3DS, passkeys and network tokens, and how they affect approval rates
- Background designing enterprise payment flows across several markets and currencies
- Working grasp of software engineering practices and API integration approaches
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain complicated ideas to technical and non-technical listeners
- Track record of building productive working relationships with business partners
- Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced, loosely structured setting
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience connecting Stripe or other REST APIs to web applications
- Some experience running split tests or measurement programs for checkout performance
- Knowledge of quick-pay wallets including Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Shop Pay
- Prior role as a recognized expert in an industry, vertical or product area
