Job Description
Excel Sports Management is seeking a Finance Intern for its Spring 2027 program. The agency represents premier talent, major brands, and prominent properties. This internship bridges classroom knowledge with practical experience, providing participants with exposure to financial operations while working alongside dedicated professionals. Interns will engage in day-to-day financial tasks and have opportunities to learn about other areas of the organization through scheduled educational sessions.
The program runs from January 11th, 2027, through May 6th, 2027. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring participants to work approximately three days a week in the New York office, alongside remote work, totaling between 24 and 29.9 hours per week. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time or as coordinated with an advisor. Participants are responsible for their own housing and transportation arrangements. Responsibilities
- Process new contracts and prepare invoices
- Assist with vendor forms to ensure timely and accurate payments
- Support data migration accuracy between financial management systems
- Record incoming and outgoing payments using web-based accounting platforms
- Onboard new clients, employees, and vendors into the payment system within the ERP
- Send internal communication reminders and follow up individually regarding outstanding payments
- Manage and track specific accounts receivable reports, including aged collections monitoring
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Work 24 to 29.9 hours per week
- Report to the New York office approximately three days a week
- Be available to work under 30 hours per week

Qualifications
- Senior standing in college with a completed junior year of undergraduate studies, enrollment in a graduate school, or possession of a bachelor's or postgraduate degree
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong working knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs
