Sutherland Healthcare Solutions is looking for a Sr. Data Analyst to join the Enterprise Data and Analytics team on a full-time, remote basis within Canada. Sutherland uses artificial intelligence, data, and digital innovation to transform workflows and accelerate life-saving therapies. In this role, the analyst will design analytical solutions, track key performance indicators, uncover performance trends, and assist with strategic decisions across operations.
This position requires partnering with business, engineering, and product groups to map processes, lead user acceptance testing, and perform deep-dive data investigations. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in data profiling and SQL, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills to translate complex information into actionable intelligence. Responsibilities
- Analyze complex scientific datasets to support strategic initiatives and reveal insights
- Map business process rules so data solutions align with operational realities
- Develop insight-driven solutions providing visibility into KPIs and performance metrics
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to resolve challenging problems and generate evidence-based recommendations
- Engage stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements for current and future products
- Lead requirements workshops and coordinate User Acceptance Testing cycles for new solutions
- Create business flow diagrams and data flow diagrams to assist system design and optimization
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams
- Perform data profiling, mining, validation, and testing to confirm data usability
- Execute ad-hoc analyses and communicate findings clearly to users
- Build collaborative relationships and partnerships with business stakeholders
Requirements
- Must be based in Canada
- Minimum of 5 years of experience writing complex SQL queries, performing data mining, profiling, and validation
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Data Analyst specializing in Data and Analytics, preferably in a senior or lead role
- Minimum of 5 years of experience organizing and conducting User Acceptance Testing cycles and training sessions
- Experience working with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or MicroStrategy
- Experience working within the Agile Software Development Methodology
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field
- Master degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or Computer Science
- Experience in the biotechnology or life science industry
