Sutherland is seeking a Sr. Director Network Administration to join its team on a remote basis within the United States. This leadership role involves guiding the network strategy, design, operations, and enhancements for corporate and cloud network environments across the Americas business units. The professional will direct a team of network engineers, maintain network security standards, and collaborate with global technology and business teams to deliver reliable digital infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Oversee network strategy, design, operation, and improvement for corporate and cloud networks across Americas business units
- Manage and direct a team of network engineers within the Americas region
- Ensure network systems meet availability, reliability, security, and performance standards
- Define network hardware and software standards alongside peer teams
- Develop and update network policies, procedures, and standardized configurations
- Build and manage network designs from multiple infrastructure projects to ensure scalability and safety
- Direct the creation and remodeling of company facilities
- Formulate and oversee the network technology roadmap for the Americas
- Provide Level 3 technical support for the region
- Maintain network infrastructure security alongside the information security and network security architecture teams
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Global Network Services on budgeting, forecast planning, and project ROI models
- Participate in IT change control processes and notify stakeholders of maintenance windows and outages
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience managing a large and complex enterprise network
- Proven ability to lead large technical projects and communicate effectively with team members and business leaders
- Deep understanding of network routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, and SD-WAN technologies
- Experience with enterprise on-premises technologies such as switches, routers, load balancers, network access control, remote access tools, web proxy services, DNS, and DHCP
- Familiarity with manufacturers including Cisco, Zscaler, Citrix, Palo Alto, and F5
- Availability to be on call as needed and accommodate intermittent travel
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Master degree in computer science, business management, or a related field
- Active or expired CCNA or CCNP certification
- Verifiable network project experience matching five to ten years of active leadership
- Experience with software-defined networks and cloud environments
- Certifications related to SDN, cloud environments, or cloud-based telecom systems
