This full-time, on-site embedded software role in Bengaluru at Bosch covers the software lifecycle for safety-critical off-highway control units. The senior engineer designs modular AUTOSAR software, develops protocol stacks and functional safety mechanisms on an RTOS, executes complex tests, and provides technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead the embedded software lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through testing and deployment.
- Design modular software architectures across application, middleware, driver and HAL layers.
- Develop protocol stacks such as CAN, J1939, UDS and Automotive Ethernet, plus functional safety mechanisms.
- Run complex test cases, coverage analysis and debugging, and document architecture using arc42 and UML.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in BSW development, AUTOSAR, MCAL and RTOS.
- Hands-on work with multicore safety ECUs such as ARM Cortex-R, including IPC and MPU.
- Experience with ISO 26262 (ASIL-D) and MISRA C.
- Ability to perform code reviews and mentor team members.
Qualifications
- A B.E. or B.Tech in E&C, EEE or an equivalent field.
- Good to have: automotive cybersecurity concepts and Hardware Security Modules (HSM).
