This fully remote position operates from a home office in India and requires collaborating with global finance teams and maintaining overlap hours with the US team.
The person in this role will manage end-to-end accounting operations for statutory accounting across current and future international entities. Key responsibilities include overseeing full-cycle monthly and quarterly closes under both local and US GAAP, handling statutory compliance, directing AP, AR, and payroll accounting, and serving as the primary lead for external audits and tax advisor coordination. The position also involves building SOX-aligned controls, automating workflows, assisting with M&A integration, and mentoring junior accounting personnel.

Candidates will work closely with the Head of Finance for the India Center of Excellence and the US-based Controller to establish robust financial infrastructure supporting international growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete monthly and quarterly close cycles for current and international entities following local and US GAAP standards.
- Direct and assist accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to guarantee accurate accounting practices.
- Handle payroll accounting and coordinate intercompany transactions alongside the global finance team.
- Oversee statutory compliance including financial statement preparation, audits, TDS/TCS returns, and coordination with auditors, tax advisors, and corporate secretaries.
- Review journal entries, financial statements, and account reconciliations in partnership with the US Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.
- Collaborate with the SOX leader to design, implement, and maintain SOX-aligned controls for international entities.
- Drive close process improvements by identifying automation and artificial intelligence opportunities to build scalable infrastructure.
- Manage the external audit relationship for international entities from material preparation to resolution of auditor inquiries.
- Partner cross-functionally with Legal, HR, Revenue Operations, and FP&A on business initiatives containing accounting impacts.
- Mentor and support the professional growth of junior accounting staff within the Center of Excellence.
- Participate in pre and post merger and acquisition activities such as due diligence, data migration, and entity integration.
- Oversee the establishment of new corporate entities in foreign jurisdictions.
- Track modifications in local GAAP, regulatory, tax, and corporate compliance rules for international entities.
- Manage treasury accounting, banking, cash operations, and foreign exchange matters including revaluations and bank reconciliations.
Requirements
- Possess at least 12 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Accumulate a minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in technical accounting covering IFRS and US GAAP.
- Bring hands-on experience utilizing ERP software, specifically NetSuite.
- Show a proven history of managing or supporting Big 4 or top-tier financial audits.
- Gather prior background working at a high-growth SaaS or technology company with multi-entity international accounting structures.
