Fivetran is recruiting a Senior Manager to head its Partner Solutions Architecture group covering EMEA and APJ. The position is full-time and remote. Because Fivetran and dbt Labs are merging, applicants may see both company names during the hiring process.
This is primarily a people leadership job, though the holder needs enough technical depth to mentor the team and join hands-on work when required. The group manages technical relationships with SIs, consultancies and tech vendors across both regions and serves as the regional channel for global platform partners. The manager defines who supports which partners and territories, creates regional certification and enablement programs, and raises partners' technical competence so they can explain Fivetran and dbt value. The role reports upward to the global leader of the function, and a peer who runs the Americas group is a close collaborator.
The manager passes regional observations to global product Partner SAs and product leaders, covering integration shortcomings, repeat delivery problems, competitor moves and feature requests, with data where available. Travel is about 30 percent across both regions for planning sessions, enablement events, conferences and team time. The job also includes regional pipeline reviews and accountability for a revenue target through partners.
Candidates should have led a distributed team of technical staff who face customers or partners. Examples include solutions architects, sales engineers, partner engineers or consultants, and hiring and performance management are part of the ask. Experience in partner, alliance or channel programs is valued, as is a grasp of the data stack from ingestion through transformation, warehousing, lakehouse formats and BI. A track record in building partner skills through enablement, certification, workshops or labs is expected.
Responsibilities
- Drive regional results jointly with EMEA and APJ counterparts in partner leadership
- Grow certification and accreditation outcomes and local enablement programs
- Translate global alliance plans into regional delivery with platform partners and SIs
- Mentor, assess and develop people across EMEA and APJ Partner SA groups
- Define coverage and prioritization across both regions
- Recruit and keep strong people as the team expands
- Feed regional intelligence back to global product teams
Requirements
- Experience leading a distributed technical team with hiring and performance responsibilities
- Background in alliance, partner or channel work, and how integrators and technology partners earn money
- Working knowledge of the modern data stack across ingestion, modeling, orchestration, warehousing and BI
- Record of building skills in partner or customer organizations
- Comfortable with commercial discussions and owning a numeric target
