Job Description
Dialpad seeks a Sr. Software Engineer (Salesforce) to join its Salesforce Integration team. Dialpad provides an AI-powered customer experience platform designed to handle real-time voice and digital interactions, turning conversations into actionable insights for major global brands. In this position, the engineer will primarily build and maintain the company's native Salesforce integration, alongside supporting other critical applications and emerging Agentic AI technologies. The role involves writing clean code, creating technical architecture documents, conducting peer code reviews, and mentoring fellow engineering team members.
This position is suited for an autonomous professional who communicates effectively, balances technical tasks with overarching business objectives, and acts as a subject matter expert. The candidate will work in a hybrid capacity, reporting directly to an Engineering Manager with an expectation to work from the London office two to three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and support Dialpad's native Salesforce integration
- Contribute to the development of other software integrations
- Produce architectural design and specification documentation
- Develop well-tested features with low defect rates and robust test hooks
- Write clean, modular, and maintainable code along with unit tests
- Take part in code reviews to uphold quality, scalability, and maintainability
- Contribute to emerging Agentic AI initiatives and technologies
- Serve as a technical expert representing the team
- Mentor and guide other software engineers
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience as a Senior Software Engineer
- Experience with at least one major backend language, particularly Python or Java
- Experience with at least one major frontend language, particularly Vue or React
- Familiarity with Agile development frameworks
- Proficiency in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Experience developing software integrations
Qualifications
- Proficiency with ETL data pipelines
- Experience working with Agentic AI
- Routine usage of AI coding assistants such as Claude and Gemini for programming tasks
