Job Description

Cribl is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape the security product experience for enterprise IT and Security teams. The company builds telemetry infrastructure designed to give organizations choice, control, and flexibility over their data across human and agent workflows.

In this role, you will lead end-to-end design initiatives centered on security operations, such as threat detection, investigations, triage, and search functionalities. The position suits a designer with a genuine security background who can transform complicated SOC workflows into intuitive, reliable interfaces. You will create AI-assisted and agentic experiences that maintain user trust and control.

You will collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and user research colleagues to build a cohesive experience across the broader Cribl platform. The role demands advanced proficiency in Figma, strong product thinking, and the ability to navigate technical operational risks. Because Cribl operates as a remote-first organization with a global workforce distributed across numerous time zones, team members may occasionally need to handle responsibilities outside normal working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end design from problem framing and research through prototyping, validation, and implementation
  • Develop workflows for detection creation, alert reviews, investigations, triage, search pivots, and threat coverage
  • Incorporate security judgment regarding evidence, severity, permissions, auditability, and operational risk
  • Design AI-assisted and agentic experiences that clearly communicate user intent, context, and capabilities
  • Utilize Figma for exploration, prototyping, documentation, collaboration, and handoff tasks
  • Partner with engineers and product managers to support feasibility, accessibility, and high-fidelity implementation
  • Participate in design critiques and working sessions to share work and provide constructive feedback
  • Prioritize opportunities and evaluate concepts using product evidence and research
  • Communicate design tradeoffs and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical partners

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience designing complex B2B software, enterprise platforms, or technical user products
  • A background in security product design, security operations, threat detection, incident response, or related disciplines
  • Strong product thinking and interaction design skills to simplify complex technical workflows
  • Experience designing AI-assisted, conversational, or emerging interaction models
  • Expert Figma skills including advanced prototyping and design documentation
  • Demonstrated expertise working in and contributing to design systems
  • Understanding of AI tools and AI UX interaction models
  • Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams in iterative environments
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and facilitation skills
  • A portfolio containing case studies that display role, process, decisions, collaboration, and outcomes

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with research tools like Dovetail for transcripts, themes, and insights
  • Experience with security data, detections, alerts, threat intelligence, telemetry, and data pipelines
  • Experience designing for different roles, permissions, tenants, environments, and technical skill levels
  • Understanding of accessible product design and inclusive interaction practices including WCAG principles
  • Familiarity with OCSF, MITRE ATT&CK, KQL, Sigma, or detection rules
