AlphaSense, an AI platform that provides market intelligence and workflow orchestration for business and finance professionals, is seeking a Staff Cloud Platform Engineer focused on Cloud Developer Experience. This role sits within the Cloud DX group, which manages the software development lifecycle from source control to production for roughly four hundred global engineers. The position requires a combination of operations and software development expertise, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering leaders across multiple teams. The successful candidate will design and run production-grade delivery infrastructure, write code in Go and Python, and help integrate AI tooling into daily engineering workflows to enhance productivity and quality.

Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the continuous integration and continuous delivery architecture and developer-facing experience
- Drive improvements related to pipeline speed, predictability, and reliability
- Define secure paved paths that enable product teams to ship code rapidly without deep platform expertise
- Manage the end-to-end delivery process from code merge to production
- Implement progressive delivery methods including canary deployments and automated rollbacks
- Develop tooling to make deployments repeatable, observable, and self-service
- Maintain and evolve the Internal Developer Portal and its self-service features
- Collaborate with Cloud Platform teams on infrastructure while overseeing developer delivery
- Integrate artificial intelligence tooling into delivery pipelines to generate productivity gains
Requirements
- Extensive background in platform engineering or developer experience with a focus on CI/CD and delivery, ideally at organizations with over 200 engineers
- Experience managing and operating a CI/CD platform at both administration and architecture levels, including configuration, security, and enablement
- Demonstrated ability to design and operate delivery systems at scale
- Hands-on software engineering experience involving production-quality Go
- Familiarity with progressive delivery practices such as automated rollbacks and canary deployments
- Understanding of cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes-based platforms
- Enthusiasm for leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance developer experience, quality, and velocity
- Strong collaboration capabilities with the ability to influence across multiple teams
Qualifications
- Experience building or maintaining an internal developer portal in a production setting
- Previous professional background working within both software and platform engineering groups
- Interest in security concepts including role-based access control and OAuth
