Responsibilities
- Build and operate market data components such as feed handlers, normalization pipelines, distribution layers, and venue connectivity
- Design low-latency, high-throughput systems for real-time market data utilized by trading platforms
- Contribute to observability, on-call support, and incident response to enhance reliability and performance
- Write well-tested code while raising the technical quality standard on a compact team
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional partners to release market data features
- Apply generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
Requirements
- At least five years of backend engineering experience with building and maintaining production low-latency systems
- Practical background working with market data systems including feed handlers, normalization, or distribution
- Fluency in low-latency Java or C++ alongside high-throughput messaging tools like Aeron or SBE
- Familiarity with exchange connectivity and market data protocols such as FIX, ITCH/OUCH, and multicast
- Demonstrated history of delivering features from end to end and supporting deployed systems
