As a Staff Offensive Security Engineer, you will join an elite Red Team dedicated to uncovering and mitigating real-world security vulnerabilities. This role suits experienced security professionals who excel at simulating adversary behaviors, testing defenses across various environments, and collaborating closely with engineering teams. Your daily contributions will directly impact the safety and reliability of systems used by millions of customers.
Responsibilities include planning and conducting comprehensive red team operations, developing specialized security testing tools, performing threat modeling, and leading security incidents when necessary. Responsibilities
- Plan and execute red team operations and long-term security assessments simulating real-world attack scenarios
- Conduct threat modeling and penetration testing across infrastructure, applications, and corporate environments
- Build scripts and custom tools to support and automate security testing functions
- Collaborate with detection and response teams to execute adversarial simulations and elevate incident readiness
- Communicate security findings to stakeholders and guide engineering teams through remediation processes
- Lead security incidents triggered by penetration test or red team discoveries
- Mentor and support the professional growth of other security engineers
- Evangelize offensive security projects and findings throughout the organization
Requirements
- Have 8 or more years of experience performing advanced penetration testing or red team operations
- Demonstrate a strong passion for challenging existing security assumptions and fixing security issues
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored for audiences ranging from engineers to executives
- Understand common network standards and protocols such as TCP/IP and DNS
- Bring working experience with Linux and MacOS operating systems
- Know how to attack modern software development stacks including CI systems, cloud providers like AWS and GCP, and container orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes
- Understand defensive tools and techniques like EDR, antivirus, network analysis, packet capture, and IDS/IPS, alongside methods to evade them
- Show a deep understanding of MITRE ATT&CK Framework
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of identity and access security fundamentals
- Be comfortable reading and writing Python, Go, and JavaScript
- Be able to research and execute testing plans against new technologies and processes
- Have experience working with distributed teams and communicating effectively over text-based mediums
