This staff product manager role centers on Freshworks' AI Agent product line. It spans customer experience use cases such as service, sales and marketing, as well as employee experience scenarios such as ITSM, HR service workflows and IT operations work. The job assumes solid working knowledge of what AI agents and assistants do and where they fit.
The product manager sets multi-year product direction from customer research and emerging technology, puts forward new product concepts, and owns requirements, customer experience design, the roadmap and prioritization. Business measures and OKRs for the products are the manager's to define and own. The role determines the aims of each sprint and release, guides scrum teams on which initiatives come first, and works with product leaders to decide which problems to tackle. Turning intricate workflows into engineering specs while overseeing delivery and operations is part of the job, as is working with UX and engineering on the design and technical consequences of solution ideas.
The ideal candidate has at least ten years on global, cross-functional software teams, ideally at a software product company, and seven years or more of core product management for internet software. Three or more years managing AI, machine learning, NLP or agentic AI products is required, and experience with AI agents, assistants and copilots matters. The candidate should have carried AI and ML features through their lifecycle, from structured experiments to production and ongoing quality. Data science experience is a strong plus; SaaS background is preferred. Responsibilities
- Establish the product's multi-year direction, drawing on customer research and emerging technology.

Requirements
- Ten or more years on cross-functional software teams at a product company.
- Seven or more years of core product management for internet software.
- Three or more years managing AI, ML, NLP or agentic AI products.
- Hands-on experience with agentic systems such as AI agents, assistants and copilots.
- Experience taking AI and ML models from experimentation to production and sustained performance.
- Proven ability to build roadmaps and strategies for AI platforms and products.
- Ability to grow adoption using analytics and customer feedback.
- Strong ownership, independent problem solving and business judgment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor-level education in a business, technical or related discipline; an MBA is a plus.
- SaaS experience is preferred.
- Background as a data scientist would be a valuable addition.
