Job Description

Affirm is a financial technology company that provides clear, predictable payment solutions allowing consumers to pay over time without hidden fees. The product team translates customer needs into scalable offerings through close collaboration across design, engineering, and analytics. For this fully remote role, Affirm is seeking a Staff Product Manager, Consumer Growth Loyalty to build a brand-new consumer loyalty program from the ground up.

In this position, the successful candidate will establish the vision, roadmap, and economic framework for member rewards, tiers, earn mechanics, and redemption surfaces. This role requires partnering closely with cross-functional groups such as Risk, Credit, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing to design transparent, compliant reward structures and seamless engagement loops. It suits an experienced product leader with a strong background in consumer mobile apps or fintech, a high bar for user experience design, and deep fluency in experiment design, incrementality testing, and customer lifetime value measurement.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategic roadmap, hypotheses, and multi-quarter success metrics for the consumer loyalty program
  • Launch the initial version of rewards and tiers, including earn mechanics, benefits, redemption features, and in-app or checkout visibility
  • Create engagement loops using milestones, progress trackers, and personalized offers to drive weekly active usage
  • Manage program financials, covering reward liability, merchant funding mix, interchange incentives, and incremental gross merchandise volume against membership costs
  • Establish measurement frameworks utilizing holdouts, incrementality testing, and long-term customer lifetime value to adjust burn rates and tier thresholds
  • Collaborate with Risk, Credit, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure transparent and compliant reward disclosures
  • Align senior stakeholders and lead embedded engineering and design pods across multiple departments

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in product management
  • Demonstrated background in fintech, neobanks, or consumer mobile applications
  • Experience building or scaling loyalty, rewards, points, tier-based, or subscription engagement programs
  • History of launching products from the ground up rather than optimizing existing features
  • Prior ownership of repeat usage, share of wallet, or cohort retention as key metrics
  • Ability to independently build financial models and defend reward costs, funding mixes, and payback periods to leadership
  • Deep fluency in experiment design, attribution, incrementality testing, and lifetime value measurement
  • Strong SQL or Amplitude-level self-serve data capabilities and a rapid iteration mindset
  • Track record of shipping regulated or consumer financial products while partnering with legal, risk, and compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Familiarity with AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor for research, prototyping, and analysis

Core Skills

Benefits

  • 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental, and vision for employees and their dependents
  • Monthly spending stipends for tech setup, health, and wellness choices
  • Flexible time off and holiday calendars
  • Employee stock purchase plan to buy Affirm stock at a discount
  • Eligible for equity rewards from Affirm Holdings, Inc.
