The company is currently hiring a full-time Staff Site Reliability Engineer, Environment Automation in India to support its dedicated platform team.

In this role, the engineer will focus on operating and automating numerous tenant environments from initial provisioning through day-to-day maintenance, guaranteeing that systems remain secure, consistent, and reliable at scale. Professionals joining this team will combine a pragmatic operational mindset with robust software engineering abilities to eliminate manual workflows, reduce operational toil, and improve platform resilience.

  • Troubleshoot issues across Kubernetes clusters, cloud services, and GitLab applications to resolve failed deployments, crash loops, and scheduling conflicts
  • Replace manual operational workflows with infrastructure-as-code solutions, configuration rollouts, and automated version upgrades
  • Build observability systems using Prometheus, ELK, and Grafana to detect bottlenecks, forecast usage trends, and optimize resource consumption
  • Lead incident response and postmortem procedures to resolve operational issues and establish standards that mitigate future risks
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to guide architectural choices surrounding automation, platform scalability, and production readiness

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating and troubleshooting production workloads across multiple tenants or environments
  • Strong hands-on mastery of Terraform covering workspace strategies, state management, and scalable automation patterns
  • Demonstrated skill in diagnosing deployment failures, interpreting pod logs, and debugging scheduling problems in live Kubernetes environments
  • Capability to read and debug code written in Go or Ruby
  • Background supporting infrastructure for numerous customers or environments simultaneously with a focus on isolation and scaling
  • Experience managing on-call duties and leading technical discussions and incident resolution under pressure

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Ansible and templating tools such as Jsonnet
