Operating within a remote structure across the United Kingdom, United States, and Canada, the company seeks a Staff Software Engineer to focus on its Customer Platform.
This position centers on the core infrastructure connecting internal product lines, partners, and clients to the software supply chain. The individual in this post will drive API design, policy management, entitlement systems, and platform primitives end to end. The role fits an independent technical leader who can navigate ambiguity, mentor peers, and integrate AI foundations into client-facing features without extensive supervision.
Responsibilities
- Manage features completely from initial design through implementation, rollout, and iteration alongside Product Management and allied engineering squads
- Develop, build, and scale backend services in Go that handle customer onboarding, policies, and entitlements via REST and gRPC interfaces
- Act as the primary technical liaison between the Customer Platform group and other internal engineering units like Containers, Libraries, and OS packages
- Expand agentic AI foundations into features directed at product users
- Offer mentorship and technical guidance to mid-level and senior team members to help resolve ambiguity toward measurable outcomes
- Contribute to roadmap planning by prioritizing trade-offs, meeting deadlines, and delivering iteratively
Requirements
- Production programming experience using Go
- Demonstrated background owning API design and backend architecture at scale in production environments
- Experience collaborating across multiple engineering groups to establish shared infrastructure, integration patterns, and technical standards
- Ability to navigate ambiguity independently by bringing structured recommendations and diagnostic solutions
- Track record of mentoring engineers and supplying technical leadership without requiring a formal management title
Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures including Kubernetes and cloud provider APIs
- Prior exposure to billing platforms, entitlement systems, or platform infrastructure
- Experience developing or expanding product features powered by artificial intelligence
