Job Description

Responsibilities

• Serve as a hands-on technical leader to define architectural direction and engineering standards.
• Architect and build production-grade full stack applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, C#/.NET, and AWS.
• Implement event-driven architectures utilizing AWS, Kafka, and modern data pipelines.
• Design responsive frontend experiences and scalable REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Integrate AI-powered capabilities and content enrichment features to enhance user productivity.
• Instrument applications with logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and telemetry to maintain system performance and reliability.
• Own complex technical initiatives from initial design through production deployment.
• Mentor engineers across experience levels and foster collaborative engineering practices.

Requirements

• Eight or more years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-grade applications at scale.
• Three or more years of experience providing technical leadership and influencing engineering direction.
• Extensive practical background with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• Backend development expertise in C#/.NET or Java alongside TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience designing and operating event-driven, service-oriented, and microservices architectures.
• Practical experience building distributed cloud-native systems with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, and S3.
• Familiarity with NoSQL options like DynamoDB or DocumentDB as well as relational SQL databases.
• Background in designing REST and GraphQL APIs, incorporating API security and versioning strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building document management, content services, or search-driven applications.
• Specialized expertise in event-driven architectures and Kafka.
• Background in developing high-performance React applications at scale.
• Experience integrating AI-powered services into production applications.
• History of building B2B SaaS products within legal or other regulated environments.
• Mobile development or cross-platform application experience.
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical writing.
