Vercel is seeking a Strategic Product Partnerships Lead to develop innovative alliances that drive business growth, expand product distribution, generate sales pipeline, and introduce new capabilities to the platform. Vercel functions as an agentic infrastructure company, enabling developers and agents to build and launch software quickly and securely. This position requires a candidate who can collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and commercial leaders both internally and externally.

Reporting directly to the Head of Strategic Partnerships, the person in this role will manage a specific portfolio of partners including cloud hyperscalers, artificial intelligence laboratories, hardware vendors, and enterprise platforms. Responsibilities include shaping joint technical offerings, negotiating complex agreements, and guiding initiatives from initial concept through execution. This hybrid position requires staff to work three days per week from office locations in San Francisco, Austin, or New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a designated group of strategic partners through every stage from initial discussions to launch and expansion
  • Identify and establish new alliances focused on artificial intelligence, cloud computing, commerce, and enterprise software
  • Formulate business cases by assessing opportunities and required engineering investments for leadership review
  • Direct negotiations for unconventional commercial terms such as revenue sharing, embedded pricing, and marketplace conditions
  • Cultivate senior executive relationships on the partner side
  • Coordinate cross-functional groups across product, engineering, sales, marketing, finance, and legal departments
  • Advise company leadership regarding ecosystem trends and product roadmap implications

Requirements

  • Minimum of eight years of experience building, negotiating, and executing intricate commercial agreements within platform, infrastructure, cloud, or developer tool sectors
  • Demonstrated history of launching unprecedented partnerships with larger organizations
  • Experience handling technical contract components such as platform integrations, whitelabeled products, software licensing, and compute commitments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical engineering teams regarding artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience formulating strategy and securing organizational funding
  • Ability to lead cross-functional groups without direct reporting authority
  • Must be able to work on a hybrid schedule from offices in San Francisco, Austin, or New York City three days per week

Qualifications

  • Previous partnership experience involving a hyperscaler, artificial intelligence lab, commerce platform, or enterprise software provider
  • Background in structuring technology licensing, original equipment manufacturer, or embedded distribution contracts
  • Initial career background in a technical role such as engineering, solutions architecture, or technical product management
