Deloitte seeks a Supply Chain Manager for a 12-month contract based in Durban. This role centers on assisting a Senior Manager with client engagements, project delivery, sales, and practice development at client sites. The position involves leading teams, guiding internal audits, conducting best practice reviews, and managing operational risks while adhering to regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Manager in delivering services at client locations across delegated engagements and projects
- Lead and manage client engagements alongside sales and practice development initiatives
- Develop and mentor high-performing teams to ensure exceptional client service
- Plan and execute internal audits to support informed decision-making based on relative risk
- Translate internal audit findings into prioritized, action-oriented recommendations utilizing frameworks such as COSO
- Conduct assessments of client internal audit functions to identify compliance gaps and operational deviations
- Identify operational risks, test internal controls, and help implement corrective measures
- Perform best practice reviews of systems and processes to improve operational risk management
Requirements
- Six or more years of relevant working experience in internal audit, which can include three years of external audit articles
- Three years of public sector or government audit experience
- Two to three years of experience working in a managerial capacity
- Proficiency in utilizing TeamMate
Qualifications
- Appropriate Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Auditing, Internal Auditing, or Supply Chain Management
- Postgraduate or Honours qualification in a related field
- Preferred professional certifications include CA (SA), CIA, CIPS, or AGA
- Understanding of SCM regulations and the PFMA, particularly within the public sector
