Job Description
Supabase is hiring a full-time Support Engineer to cover weekend shifts for the Americas. The company runs a Postgres development platform that spans databases, authentication, storage, edge functions, realtime features and vector search. Support Engineers help developers who are stuck or need direction, working within a globally distributed team focused on fixing issues quickly.
Shifts are four 10-hour days covering Friday through Monday, inside a 16:00 to 02:00 UTC window. Engineers handle cases ranging from billing and pre-sales questions to optimization and implementation work. Each case is triaged by pointing the user to earlier answers, code examples and documentation, or by escalating to technical or business colleagues. Other tasks include watching GitHub Issues and Discussions, reproducing bugs, writing test cases and proposing internal tools that would speed up support.
The posting asks for three or more years of developer support experience with technical customers, strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred) including complex queries, and comfort with Linux or Unix and the command line. Experience with GitHub Issues and Discussions is expected. Familiarity with React, Vue or Svelte, some Node.js work and a computer science degree are advantages. The posting does not specify a salary. The role is fully remote and asynchronous, and it includes equity through the company's ESOP, a tech budget and an annual learning allowance.
