Job Description
GoCardless, part of Mollie, is recruiting a Technical Account Manager for its ANZ Customer Success team. GoCardless serves more than 100,000 businesses that accept bank-based payments through bank debits, real time transfers and open banking, and it processes over US$130bn a year across more than 30 countries.
This is a new position created to meet demand from merchants that sell through sales teams and need technical help alongside their commercial relationship. The TAM is the technical counterpart to the Customer Success Account Managers, who own the commercial side. The TAM becomes the main technical contact for a group of merchants, learns each merchant's architecture and integrations, and runs regular technical reviews that cover integration health, payment performance and upcoming product changes.
Beyond onboarding and go-live, the TAM helps merchants plan platform shifts early, such as billing engine migrations. The company has lost merchants who chose new architecture without its input, so the TAM is expected to join those discussions from the start. The TAM also keeps an eye on integration health for warning signs such as falling mandate conversion, repeated payment failures or weak API use, supports incident response, and runs technical workshops for merchant teams.
The ideal candidate has three to five years in a technical, customer-facing role at a B2B software or fintech company, is comfortable with REST APIs, webhooks and JSON, and can troubleshoot across several integration layers. Experience with bank-based payment methods, open banking or recurring billing in the ANZ market is desirable. The posting does not name a specific city.

- Run regular technical reviews covering integration health and payment performance
- Support onboarding so integrations are well designed from day one
- Guide merchants through API and webhook work during the build phase

- Own remediation plans and keep the account manager updated

- Contribute to account plans and quarterly review preparation
- Pass merchant pain points to Product and Engineering as structured feedback
- Give the Support team account context during high-priority incidents
- Run technical workshops and write documentation for specific merchant setups

- Experience supporting customers through complex technical integrations
- Strong troubleshooting skills and clear communication with technical and non-technical people
- Comfort presenting to senior stakeholders and leading external technical discussions
- Organized and self-directed, able to juggle several accounts at once
Qualifications
- Exposure to bank-based payment methods, open banking or recurring billing in the ANZ market
- Experience with SQL, Looker or similar tools for analyzing payment performance
