Job Description
Socket is hiring a remote Technical Account Manager to oversee post-sale customer success for European clients. The company provides a security platform used by development and security teams to manage, audit, and discover open-source code. Founded by a long-time open-source maintainer, Socket is backed by $125 million in funding from prominent investors and serves organizations ranging from Anthropic and xAI to Figma and Vercel.
In this product-focused and technical role, the professional will act as the main point of contact and technical advisor for European accounts. Duties involve leading technical onboarding, conducting quarterly business reviews, investigating and resolving integration or configuration issues, and partnering with account executives on upsells and renewals. Because there is no separate support team, the person in this position will handle troubleshooting directly using logs and telemetry, and will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback.

Responsibilities
- Manage the post-sale relationship as the primary contact and technical advisor for European customers
- Partner with account executives on renewals, expansions, and upsell strategies
- Lead technical onboarding and enterprise implementation across CI/CD systems, build pipelines, and IDEs
- Investigate and resolve compatibility, configuration, and integration challenges in dedicated Slack channels
- Analyze logs and telemetry data to diagnose root causes and coordinate fixes with engineering teams
- Conduct architecture reviews, discovery sessions, and security posture assessments
- Deliver interactive workshops, deep-dives, and office hours to boost product adoption
- Facilitate executive alignment and lead quarterly business reviews for strategic clients
Requirements
- At least six years of professional experience in a technical customer-facing capacity such as a Solutions Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or Support Engineer
- Minimum of two years acting as a dedicated point of contact for clients with a focus on success metrics and health checks
- Familiarity with application security, open-source ecosystems, or DevSecOps
- Practical background working with CI/CD platforms and developer tooling
- Proficiency in reading and reasoning about Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript code
- Understanding of SaaS integration patterns, APIs, and webhooks
- Direct troubleshooting competence in production environments alongside engineering staff
- Location within Europe with willingness to travel for meetings
Qualifications
- Prior exposure to software composition analysis, security scanning solutions, or dependency management
- Past contributions made to open-source software projects
