Stripe is looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead its Extensibility Platform on a remote basis. Stripe operates as a financial infrastructure platform, providing payment acceptance, revenue growth tools, and business expansion opportunities to millions of companies ranging from startups to large enterprises. Within the Developer Experience & Product Platform organization, the Extensibility program works to increase customer retention and expand the total addressable market by making Stripe programmable across three interdependent primitives: Scripts, Custom Objects, and Workflows.
This newly created, high-impact role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, product management, and cross-organizational program ownership. The position suits a candidate with a strong product sense and a background in complex technical environments who can lead and align cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include defining program strategy with leadership, driving decisions across multiple specialized teams, managing the critical path to major product launches, influencing engineering roadmaps, and incorporating requirements from Professional Services and Partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Own the direction, health, and outcomes of the Extensibility platform across Scripts, Custom Objects, and Workflows
- Establish program strategy alongside leadership and hold organizations accountable for success
- Drive cross-organization decisions across teams including Script Platform, Custom Objects, Apps, SDK, Observability, DevEx, and Versioning
- Manage the critical path to major product launches by defining scope, managing trade-offs, and leading descope decisions
- Shape and influence product and engineering roadmaps during planning cycles to ensure alignment with extensibility strategy
- Integrate requirements from Professional Services and Partnerships into the roadmap to support complex customer needs
Requirements
- At least five years of technical program management experience successfully driving complex cross-organizational programs
- Demonstrated product sense with an understanding of enterprise customer needs
- Strong communication skills capable of translating complex technical trade-offs into strategic decisions for executive, product, and engineering audiences
- Proven ability to lead and align cross-functional teams, resolve conflicts, and build consensus
- Track record of successful program delivery in complex technical environments
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

- Prior background in product management or product operations
- Previous experience working with developer platforms, API products, or payment systems
