Job Description

This opportunity is fully remote within Canada, with a preference for candidates operating in the Pacific Time zone. Working hours are set from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time daily. The position suits individuals eager to expand their technical capabilities by learning additional software stacks over time and taking on increasing responsibility within the team.

Banyan Software operates globally with over 120 portfolio companies and maintains a buy-and-hold philosophy to support specialized software providers. The organization utilizes artificial intelligence tools during the applicant screening and assessment phases of recruitment.

Responsibilities

Partner directly with higher-education clients to diagnose and resolve technical environment issues
Write and update Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code to address client problems and integrate fixes into internal development environments
Provide custom development solutions for clients when required
Communicate technical challenges, resolutions, and subsequent steps clearly to client stakeholders
Collaborate with the Technical Solutions lead to assume ownership of a growing portion of client assignments
Expand technical knowledge to include the broader company stack consisting of ASP.NET, Visual Studio, and JavaScript as needed

Requirements

Possess three to five years of practical development experience specifically utilizing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with the capability to interact directly with clients
Commit to working from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time

Qualifications

Familiarity with Ellucian Banner from a technical or functional perspective
Exposure to ASP.NET, Visual Studio, or JavaScript
Background in higher education or experience serving university and college clients
Broad technical background showing an ability to quickly adopt new tools and languages
