Job Description
CodePath is seeking an Account Executive for Higher Education to expand its network by securing partnerships with colleges and universities. As the largest educator of college computer science students in the nation, CodePath has trained over 40,000 students across more than 1,000 universities and maintains industry partnerships with over 4,000 companies. This full-time position reports directly to the Head of Higher Education and involves driving new-logo acquisition to help computer science students prepare for an AI-native workforce.
This role is suited for an outreach-driven sales professional who enjoys building a pipeline from scratch rather than relying on inbound leads. Travel is expected one to two times per quarter.
The annual base salary ranges from USD 110,000 to 150,000, complemented by variable compensation tied to new-partner targets, bringing on-target earnings to approximately USD 200,000. CodePath standardizes compensation by position level regardless of location, and the role offers quarterly performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Manage a new-partner target by building and overseeing a pipeline from initial prospecting through to signed agreements
- Execute full sales cycles independently, including outbound outreach, discovery calls, program demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, and closing
- Connect with computer science faculty, department chairs, and academic decision-makers to evaluate program fit and build internal cases for partnership
- Explain CodePath technical rigor, curriculum, and student outcomes to a computer science faculty audience
- Navigate academic budget and procurement cycles to ensure deals close on a predictable timeline
- Collaborate with the Head of Higher Education on territory planning, target account creation, and deal strategies
- Record pipeline activities, forecasting data, and prospect updates accurately in HubSpot
- Represent the organization at higher education and computer science education events and conferences
- Meet quarterly targets for new partnerships and student enrollments
Requirements
- Possess three to five years of full-cycle sales experience with a proven history of closing net-new accounts
- Demonstrate zero-to-one sales experience by selling a new offering or building a partnership process from scratch
- Exhibit technical credibility regarding computer science curriculum and concepts to earn faculty respect
- Maintain CRM discipline using HubSpot or a similar tool for accurate forecasting
- Communicate effectively across multiple audiences including faculty, administrators, and executive stakeholders
- Share a commitment to CodePath mission of advancing economic mobility through education
Qualifications
- Prior experience selling into colleges or universities with an understanding of campus decision-making processes
- Direct experience selling to or working alongside faculty members, particularly within computer science or STEM departments
- Background in establishing a sales process at an early-stage or fast-growing organization
