API duties include developing and maintaining endpoints in FastAPI, building background jobs and asynchronous processing that lift performance, and producing clean, maintainable code that meets industry practice. The engineer also builds features and pipelines driven by large language models, for example retrieval-augmented generation, agents, tool calling and multi-step reasoning chains.
