The Marketing Enablement & Technology department sits inside the broader marketing division, managing data architecture that supports retail marketing, search engine optimization, and paid advertising attribution. This group oversees datasets that guide hundreds of millions of dollars in marketing expenditures and growth measurement.

The organization seeks an Analytics Engineer II to design and evolve data foundations for marketing operations. In this position, the professional independently develops business-aware data models and pipelines relied upon by data scientists and analysts. Responsibilities include owning projects end-to-end, participating in code reviews, and elevating overall code quality within the marketing data platform.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain dimensional data models and ETL pipelines independently for paid marketing, SEO, retailer marketing, and attribution.
  • Partner with data scientists, analysts, and marketing stakeholders to translate analytical needs into data requirements and decision-ready datasets.
  • Manage data quality by writing tests, documentation, and monitoring systems while resolving root causes of data issues.
  • Perform code reviews, share design documents publicly before building, and apply reusable modeling patterns.
  • Improve existing marketing data pipelines to reduce manual effort, enhance performance, and increase observability.
  • Participate in incident response protocols for the data platform.

Requirements

  • Have three to five years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or closely related fields.
  • Possess strong SQL skills and practical experience building dimensional data models like star schemas, fact and dimension tables, and slowly changing dimensions.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience with the modern data stack, including dbt, Snowflake, and Apache Airflow.
  • Understand marketing data and metrics or demonstrate the ability to ramp up quickly on paid media performance and attribution concepts.
  • Show a proven ability to deliver complete data models and pipelines independently while writing clean, tested code.

Qualifications

  • Experience partnering with data scientists on experimentation, attribution, or incrementality measurement.
  • Familiarity with marketing platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, Google Analytics, and SEO tooling.
  • Experience using Python for automation or advanced transformations.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted developer tools to improve code quality and speed.
  • Experience contributing to analytics engineering best practices like testing, documentation, or data quality standards.
