CRED is hiring an Area Collection Manager East - Recovery to oversee collection operations throughout a designated state or region for assigned buckets. The person in this position will direct a team of Collection Managers by offering performance management, coaching, and training to maximize recovery outcomes. Responsibilities include driving resolution and normalization rates, overseeing third-party agency performance, and ensuring timely reporting, account allocation, and visit scheduling. Additionally, the individual must manage regulatory compliance, adhere to organizational policies, and escalate operational challenges such as capacity shortages or local risks promptly.
Responsibilities
- Manage collection operations across a defined state or region for assigned buckets
- Lead and develop a team of Collection Managers through training, coaching, and performance management
- Drive the team to achieve resolution rates, normalization rates, and ROR for recovery
- Manage relationships and evaluate performance of external collection agencies
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of collection processes, visit schedules, account allocations, and reporting
- Maintain governance and compliance with organizational policies and regulations
- Proactively identify and escalate regional challenges such as capacity shortages, attrition, and local risks
Requirements
- Experience in managing collections for the hiring region or state
- Strong understanding of the local customer profile, regional districts, and risk pin codes
- Knowledge of local collection agencies with demonstrated skills in driving agency performance
- Proficiency in the local language
- Knowledge of the code of conduct for collections and ability to explain its importance
- Familiarity with collection metrics including resolution rates, flow rates, bounce rates, ROR for recoveries, and NC/Skip ratio
