Job Description
TRT Global Solutions has an opening for a full-time Assistant Accountant that can be performed remotely. The assistant can be placed with one of the finance teams, or can rotate across all of them to gain broad exposure to finance operations.
Work on the receivables side (order-to-cash) covers billing, collection forecasts, and applying customer payments to invoices. On the payables side (procure-to-pay), the assistant backs up the AP role, posts supplier invoices, produces aging reports and payment proposals, tracks daily outflows, and supports bank account reconciliation. The reporting track (record-to-report) includes fixed asset records, general ledger entries and reconciliations, tax and statutory filings, research into entering new markets, and support for audits and internal controls.
The assistant delivers accurate, timely work to the Finance Team Leader, raises questions or decisions that need escalation, and keeps colleagues and outside partners updated. The role has regular contact with the head of finance and other senior managers.
The posting asks for a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or one to two years of practical work in billing, collections, general accounting, financial reporting, treasury or accounts payable. Fresh graduates with a strong academic record may also be considered, and internships or part-time jobs count in their favor. Responsibilities
- Handle billing, collection forecasting and the application of customer payments to invoices
- Serve as backup for accounts payable, posting invoices and preparing aging reports and payment proposals
- Produce daily cash flow and disbursement reports and help plan cash needs
- Maintain fixed asset registers, journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with tax and statutory payments, audit requests and internal control work
- Report results to the Finance Team Leader and escalate issues that need a decision
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or one to two years of practical experience in the functions listed above
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and standards, plus basic tax awareness
- Solid Excel, Word and Outlook skills
- Clear written and spoken communication
- Attention to detail, a can-do attitude, and the ability to deliver results independently
Qualifications
- Accounting software experience, ideally Oracle NetSuite (optional)
- Internship or part-time finance work, welcome for early-career applicants
