Great Zimbabwe University- GZU is seeking an Assistive Teaching And Learning Technologies Specialist to join their team. This full-time, on-site role involves assessing individual requirements to determine appropriate assistive technology tools, designing customized plans for students, and instructing educators, users, and caregivers on device usage. The professional will collaborate with service providers, educators, and healthcare experts to address the needs of individuals with disabilities, promote their rights, foster an accessible learning setting, and showcase proficiency in integrating technology.
Responsibilities
- Assess individual requirements and capabilities to select appropriate assistive technology options
- Design personalized plans incorporating assistive technology to aid student learning goals
- Educate users, caregivers, and teachers on the proper operation of assistive technology tools
- Coordinate with healthcare experts, educators, and service providers to support individuals with disabilities
- Promote the needs and rights of individuals with disabilities related to assistive technology use
- Build an inclusive educational atmosphere ensuring access to available resources for every student

Requirements
