Job Description

Ro seeks an Associate Manager, Clinical Claims to ensure that company representations regarding its health products and services remain evidence-based, lawful, and accurate. Reporting to the Director of Scientific Affairs, this remote position involves reviewing promotional materials, websites, social media, and packaging to substantiate clinical claims while helping marketing teams communicate effectively.

This role suits analytical scientific thinkers who can distill complicated clinical research into practical, accessible guidance. The person in this position will establish and oversee the evidentiary database, design scalable review workflows, and collaborate extensively with product, clinical, legal, regulatory, and marketing units. Within the initial ninety days, the chosen candidate will audit existing market claims, assess the current portfolio, build stakeholder relationships, and outline a prioritized roadmap for process enhancements.

Ro operates as a direct-to-patient healthcare provider offering nationwide telehealth, laboratory testing, and pharmacy fulfillment through a vertically integrated platform. Founded in 2017, the organization has assisted millions of patients across nearly every United States county. The company values collaborative flexibility: individuals residing within the tri-state New York area work from headquarters on Tuesdays and Thursdays, whereas remote staff outside this region participate in periodic in-person gatherings throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Review advertising, website content, packaging, product pages, sales collateral, and social media to verify that performance and clinical claims are compliant and substantiated

  • Propose workable alternatives to enable defensible and creative marketing materials
  • Develop and manage the evidence database and claims library to document approved statements and supporting data
  • Design and optimize approval workflows, templates, and claims review processes that scale alongside the business

Requirements

  • Possess three to five years of professional background in medical-legal-regulatory review, claims substantiation, advertising and promotion regulatory affairs, clinical research, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrate a strong capability to critically evaluate clinical data including study design, sample size, endpoints, and statistical versus clinical significance
  • Apply working knowledge of FTC and FDA advertising and labeling rules, covering the difference between structure/function and disease claims
  • Bring proven expertise collaborating with legal and marketing teams within an approval or review setting
  • Communicate exceptionally well in written and verbal formats, translating technical findings into understandable direction for non-scientific groups

Qualifications

  • Hold a bachelor degree in a health-related or scientific field
  • Obtain an advanced degree
  • Bring background in life sciences advisory, regulatory, or advertising compliance consulting
  • Have prior exposure to regulatory inquiries or NAD challenges
  • Demonstrate experience creating a claims review function completely from scratch
