Coinbase is hiring a Broker Dealer Operations, Associate to join the Coinbase Capital Markets group within the Finance organization. In this remote-first role, the professional will handle the daily operational tasks supporting the U.S. equities brokerage platform. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records for customer accounts, trades, cash, positions, transfers, and corporate actions while scaling operational controls.

Responsibilities
- Perform daily trade, position, balance, and cash reconciliations between internal records and Apex data, resolving discrepancies with documentation
- Assist with client account setup and maintenance tasks, including document checks, status updates, and escalation of exceptions
- Handle ACAT securities transfers end-to-end, covering intake review, eligibility checks, processing, tracking, and issue resolution
- Track operational alerts and exception queues, prioritizing urgent matters and coordinating fixes across multiple internal teams and external partners
- Manage corporate action tasks by checking notices, monitoring deadlines, verifying allocations, and resolving post-event issues
- Spot recurring operational failures and suggest practical changes to cut manual effort and improve resolution times
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in brokerage operations, financial services operations, clearing and settlement, trade support, or related control functions
- Understanding of the U.S. equities trade lifecycle, encompassing order handling, settlement, cash movements, corporate actions, and account transfers
- Demonstrated background in investigating data breaks across systems and tracking them to a documented conclusion
- Ability to adhere to established procedures in a regulated industry while applying independent judgment to unscripted exceptions
Qualifications
- Familiarity with clearing platforms such as Apex Clearing
- Experience using Jira, SQL, or workflow-automation software applied in brokerage settings
- Skill in utilizing generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency and quality
