Job Description
YipitData is adding a Business Development Associate who will support its Corporate Sales team in winning new clients. The associate finds prospective opportunities, starts sales conversations through several outreach methods, qualifies inbound leads and follows up on marketing-qualified opportunities. The role is an entry point into sales, with a path toward Sales Associate and then Sales Executive focused on winning new business.
YipitData is an analytics company that serves brands and retailers with market research. It analyzes billions of data points every day to produce detailed insight on retail, ride-hailing, online marketplaces, payments and brands. Its on-demand insights group uses in-house tools to find, license, clean and analyze datasets relied on by large investment funds and corporations. Inc. has recognized the company as a top workplace for three years running, and it operates offices in New York City and several other US and Asian cities.
The associate learns outbound selling through cold calls, cold emails, direct mail and similar methods, maps how leading brands and retailers are organized to find likely users, and works with product, sales, executives and strategy staff. The role also involves collaborating with marketing to improve how opportunities convert, and it provides hands-on access to tools including Salesforce, Gong, Groove, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo. The posting prefers candidates who can reach the New York City area for initial training.
