Careem is hiring a Category Executive for its Groceries team in Dubai. The job is full-time and on site, with four office days a week for full-time staff. The Category Management group decides the assortment, pricing and promotions for Careem's quick-commerce grocery service, and this executive supports the category manager on the Ultrafresh range.
Duties include backing the category manager in carrying out category strategy, sourcing new lines and keeping the Ultrafresh assortment in good shape, and contacting suppliers about product specifications, prices, promotional offers and routine communication. The executive would monitor sales, pricing and stock levels for the category, raise risks and openings, and help plan weekly and monthly promotions with suppliers and internal teams.
Other work involves making sure products, copy and images are listed accurately in the app with the content team, coordinating with the supply chain team on stock, onboarding new SKUs and replenishment schedules, and researching trends, product ideas and competitor prices. The executive also nurtures supplier relationships and prepares material for regular business reviews.
The ideal candidate has two to three years of experience working in Ultrafresh, ideally in retail or quick or online commerce, and understands the UAE Ultrafresh market, including its suppliers, seasonal patterns and quality norms. Clear communication, coordination skills, a commercial outlook, attention to detail, and comfort with Excel or Google Sheets are needed. Familiarity with reporting tools and commercial KPIs is a plus.

Requirements
- Two to three years working in Ultrafresh, ideally in retail or quick or online commerce
- Solid knowledge of the UAE Ultrafresh market, including suppliers, seasonality and quality standards
- Clear communication and coordination with a commercial mindset
- Detail-oriented, with good organisation and time management
- Comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets
- Analytical strength and an understanding of commercial KPIs
Qualifications
- Some knowledge of reporting and analytics software
