Careem is hiring a Senior Operations Associate to look after the performance of its Shops marketplace in the UAE and Jordan. The job is full-time and on site in Dubai. It is a marketplace role centred on partner stores, their picking crews and the metrics behind a strong customer experience.
The associate would own the performance scorecard for Shops partners in both countries, tracking order acceptance, preparation time, order accuracy, cancellations and customer contact rate, and keep the review rhythm that holds partners to those numbers. They would turn performance gaps into a strategic plan, pinpointing what drives lost gross merchandise value, weak average order value and a falling take rate, then take fixes from a pilot to regional rollout.
Other duties include running picking operations in partner stores, covering worker output, pick-to-pack duration, accuracy, training norms, tooling and practical processes. The associate would also model last-mile unit economics for each partner group alongside Captain Operations, run quarterly and monthly reviews with major accounts, and lead readiness planning for peak periods such as Ramadan and the Dubai Shopping Festival, including demand forecasts and temporary staffing surges.
Candidates should bring roughly one to three years in marketplace operations, fast-commerce, final-mile logistics or online retail, including at least two years leading teams and outside partners first-hand. Hands-on experience running frontline or in-store work such as picking, warehousing or fulfilment is required, along with solid data skills in Excel, SQL and BI tools. Travel between the UAE and Jordan is frequent. English must be fluent, and Arabic is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Own the scorecard for Shops partners across the UAE and Jordan
- Turn performance gaps into a roadmap and carry initiatives from pilot to rollout
- Run picking operations in partner stores, including productivity, accuracy and training
- Model last-mile unit economics by partner group with Captain Operations
- Run quarterly and monthly reviews with key Shops accounts
- Plan capacity and staffing for peak periods such as Ramadan and the Dubai Shopping Festival
Requirements
- Roughly one to three years in marketplace operations, fast-commerce, final-mile logistics or online retail
- At least two years leading teams and outside partners first-hand
- Practical experience running frontline or in-store operations such as picking, warehousing or fulfilment
- Solid data skills in Excel, SQL and BI tools
- Willingness to travel often between the UAE and Jordan
- Fluent English
