Job Description

GoCardless (part of Mollie) is hiring a Credit Controller who wants to build a career in credit control. The role centers on running and reporting on credit processes, alongside senior credit controllers to keep debt under control, and partnering with Customer Operations to protect customer relationships. The credit controller follows up on unpaid invoices and overdue accounts, talks with customers about queries and payment arrangements, and escalates decisions when agreed policy requires it.

The credit controller produces and reviews aging reports, tracks collection efforts and payment reminders, allocates incoming payments, and helps with account reconciliations. The job includes proposing credit notes or payment plans, which need management approval, and then managing the plans that are agreed. The posting wants someone who takes initiative and needs little supervision.

GoCardless serves more than 100,000 businesses through bank debits, real time transfers and open banking. The ideal candidate has a service-minded approach, can help resolve billing and credit questions, and communicates clearly in writing and in person with a varied set of people. Previous finance or accounting work or study, or a degree that demands strong numeracy, is valued, along with ambition to build a finance career. Prior credit control experience is a bonus, not a must.

  • Previous finance or accounting work or study, or a degree requiring high numeracy
