Bosch seeks a Data Architect With AI to join its team in Bengaluru on a full-time, on-site basis. This role focuses on formulating and executing secure, high-capacity, and rapid data platforms utilizing modern cloud technologies and Microsoft ecosystems. The ideal candidate will bridge technical needs and business goals by building robust enterprise data blueprints, integration pathways, governance models, and analytical applications.
The position requires collaboration with various internal groups including data engineering, business intelligence, application development, and cloud infrastructure divisions. Responsibilities span batch and streaming data management, data warehouse environments, data modeling, security enforcement, and Power BI reporting. Additionally, the professional will shape frameworks for generative artificial intelligence, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and vector search capabilities, alongside contributing to sales proposals, technical estimations, and requests for proposals.
Responsibilities
- Design and establish comprehensive enterprise data architectures utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Synapse services
- Convert business objectives into scalable, secure, and maintainable data design strategies
- Develop architectural frameworks covering data ingestion, transformation, storage, processing, and reporting
- Build Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Medallion Architecture solutions
- Construct AI- and ML-ready data frameworks to support advanced analytics and Generative AI use cases
- Define integration patterns for vector search, RAG, embeddings, and LLM applications
- Produce architecture diagrams, data flow charts, and technical documentation
- Integrate enterprise data platforms securely with artificial intelligence agents, APIs, databases, and cloud environments
- Contribute to sales proposals, technical evaluations, and project estimations
- Establish standards for partitioning, file sizing, schema updates, incremental processing, and performance optimization within Databricks and Spark workloads
- Implement data integration systems for databases, application programming interfaces, files, software-as-a-service applications, and streaming sources
- Define conceptual, logical, and physical data structures, including dimensional models and star schemas
- Set up data governance, security policies, lineage tracking, and auditing procedures using Microsoft Purview and Unity Catalog
- Perform capacity planning, cost management, and architectural bottleneck resolution across cloud data platforms
Requirements
- Possess twelve or more years of professional experience as a data architect
- Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and SQL Data Warehouses
- Have hands-on exposure to creating data architecture patterns for Generative AI, LLMs, and vector search solutions
- Understand CI/CD, DevOps, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and deployment practices
- Understand cloud architecture principles covering availability, networking, security, and disaster recovery
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, Master of Computer Applications, PhD, or an equivalent educational qualification
