Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal infrastructure, network engineering, and site reliability engineering teams
- Maintain operational availability across data center environments
- Manage remote contractors and create documentation for data center tasks
- Use AI tools to automate repetitive tasks, accelerate documentation, and speed up troubleshooting
- Write and maintain standard operating procedures, methods of procedure, and plans
- Support and configure network infrastructure where needed
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation for round-the-clock global network availability
- Contribute feedback to improve internal tools and external vendor partnerships
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Linux systems administration
- Experience working with Juniper, Cisco, and DWDM network equipment
- Experience managing and instructing remote contractors
- Familiarity with standing up infrastructure in remote colocation facilities
- Background in running and improving operational processes and automation tooling
- Familiarity with daily data center operations tasks including deployment, migration, and decommissioning
- Competency in basic program management tasks using tools like JIRA
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree with a technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS
- Direct experience executing complex data center or infrastructure projects
- Previous experience installing and maintaining IT infrastructure and DCIM tools
- Strong verbal, written, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Multi-lingual skills or experience working with international infrastructure
- Familiarity with remote lights-out and out-of-band data center access
- Linux certifications such as RHCSA
- Network certifications such as CCNA or higher
- Experience with configuration management systems like Saltstack, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
- Scripting or software development proficiency in Bash, Python, or Go-lang
- Familiarity with load balancing and reverse proxies such as Nginx, Varnish, HAProxy, and Apache
- Background working within a large-scale SaaS vendor environment
