The Data Entry Officer position is situated within the onboarding department and operates as an outsourced and hybrid role based in Oredo, Edo State. Reporting directly to the Lead for Onboarding, this team member is responsible for inputting and verifying customer accounts, product catalogues, inventory records, and pricing details inside the Moniebook platform.
This role suits professionals who possess exceptional attention to detail and enjoy managing large volumes of information accurately. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with account managers and onboarding specialists to eliminate workflow bottlenecks, prevent go-live delays, and maintain pristine data standards from day one. Daily tasks include managing bulk data imports, validating merchant templates, resolving discrepancies, and updating CRM records.

Responsibilities
- Input, update, and maintain merchant data such as product catalogues, SKUs, pricing, inventory levels, and customer profiles
- Process bulk data imports using spreadsheets and CSV files while validating formatting and completeness
- Ensure all records align with designated naming conventions and data standards
- Prepare merchant accounts prior to onboarding by populating required configuration, product, and inventory data within established timelines
- Review merchant-submitted data templates to catch missing fields or errors and follow up to resolve gaps
- Support the setup of catalogue structures, payment settings, and tax configurations as instructed by the onboarding team
- Perform checks to identify and correct duplicates, errors, or outdated information across spreadsheets, CRM platforms, and POS back-ends
- Log data entry activities, corrections, and import histories within the CRM
- Document frequent errors and resolutions to build a shared knowledge base
- Fulfill ad-hoc data requests from support teams, account managers, and onboarding specialists within service level agreements
Requirements
- One to three years of experience in data entry, data operations, or a related function
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with a history of high accuracy when handling large volumes of data
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel, including data cleaning and basic formulas like VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP
- Familiarity with back-office SaaS tools, POS systems, or CRM platforms
- Strong organizational abilities capable of managing multiple projects concurrently
- Reside in Oredo, Edo State
Qualifications
- Previous background in retail tech, SaaS, or fintech environments
- Experience performing bulk CSV imports, catalogue management, or data migration within a SaaS context
- Familiarity with point-of-sale platforms, inventory systems, or retail operations
- Prior experience assisting a customer success, implementation, or onboarding team
