Job Description
Samsara is hiring a Deal Desk Analyst to oversee deal economics and commercial terms for its EMEA Mid-Market segment. The company describes its Connected Operations Cloud as a platform that helps organizations in physical industries, in sectors such as farming, building work, field services, trucking and manufacturing, use IoT data to improve safety and efficiency. The role is remote-first, with applicants expected to live in the United Kingdom and visit the London office when required. Relocation help is not offered.
The analyst runs deal-desk operations for the EMEA Mid-Market segment from start to finish. That means holding Sales to policy on discounts and payment terms, deciding whether a deal falls within the analyst's approval authority or must be escalated, and approving some non-standard terms within set financial limits. The role also helps shape service-level agreements and triage rules for a high-volume pipeline, works with Sales, Legal, Sales Operations and Credit to find workable structures, and gives final approval for the segment. Coaching Sales on thresholds, supporting enablement through one-to-ones and group sessions, and stepping onto live conversations with customers when a deal needs finance input are part of the job.
The minimum requirements include experience in a comparable deal desk role, a skill for judging deal economics relative to policy, advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, and experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce and with quoting tools. Candidates should have owned a large, high-volume book with minimal oversight and be comfortable with frequent pushback from sellers. Financial modeling covering payback periods, gross margin, blended discount and payment-term effects is part of the work. The posting does not list a salary range, but it describes total rewards built from base salary, bonus-based variable pay and equity where eligible.
