Kuda is hiring a contract Direct Sales Agent for its Lagos Island listing. The company runs a money app for Africans from operations in Nigeria, South Africa and Britain. The agent's purpose is to expand sales through persistent prospecting, relationship building and rule-compliant selling. The products presented are personal and business banking, loans and point-of-sale terminals, aimed at prospects in the designated area.
Core tasks are cold calling, networking and referral-based lead generation, product demos and presentations, and negotiation of pricing and terms in line with company rules. The agent aims to beat monthly targets by acquiring customers, explains the advantages of moving to electronic banking, and onboards clients onto the platform. Ongoing coaching and problem solving are offered after onboarding. Sales activity and client interactions are entered into CRM software, and KYC and AML duties must be kept. Attendance at roadshows, community fairs and neighbourhood events is expected, and the agent reports customer experience back to the product and marketing groups.
A three-month probation applies. The agent is trained, introduced to company policy and judged on sales and service. Responsibilities
- Create lead lists through cold outreach, networking and referral introductions
- Promote personal and business accounts, lending products and POS terminals in the assigned area
- Reach monthly sales goals by adding new customers
- Negotiate terms and pricing that match company rates
- Demonstrate products and present them to prospective clients
- Keep every account compliant with KYC, AML and bank rules
- Onboard customers and provide training and troubleshooting after sign-up
- Record all sales and customer contact details in CRM tools
- Participate in roadshows, fairs and local promotions
- Share customer and product observations with marketing and product colleagues
Requirements
- Degree or HND in a field such as marketing, business administration or finance
- Background in direct sales or similar sales and customer service roles
- Persuasive interpersonal manner and negotiation ability
- Organized, with good time management across many tasks
- Driven and committed to hitting targets
- Comfortable with digital banking products and mobile technology
